The day of activation is counted as day 1, you can use the SIM card before midnight (Japan time) of the last day of the period of validity.
For example: The timeline in the case of the 15-day package should look this this.
Tethering (internet sharing) is available for use, but there will be usage restrictions set for each package.
Once exceeding the tethering usage limit set within the period of validity, the internet speed will be reduced to 128Kbps.
Additional capacity cannot be added once exceeded.
Important Remarks
- This product is used in Japan only.
- You cannot make phone calls with this package.
- Once the package is activated for use, exchange/return will not be accepted.
- Re-issuing SIM card or extending the period of validity is not possible.
- Internet data roaming with this SIM card is available within the service area designated by au. However, even within this service area, the signal may not be reachable in some places such as indoors, underground, tunnels, shaded areas of buildings, mountainous areas, and offshore areas where signals are difficult to reach.
- When using outside the service areas of 5G/4G, the maximum internet data speed may vary depending on the location. The internet data speed may decrease or data usage may not be possible in some places according to the condition of the line that might be congested and the signal environment.
- This package cannot be used with devices that do not comply with au's method of telecommunications and frequency band.
